Tenebrae Service
Tenebrae is taken from the Latin for darkness. Christians long have observed this Good Friday service through extinguishing candles to gradually diminish the light, symbolizing the coming of Jesus’ death. Often the service ends in darkness and the faithful leave in silence, conscious not only of Christ’s death — but his coming resurrection.
We encourage you to email prayer requests to pastor@holladayucc.org and we will lift them up during our broadcast worship. Remember that we have a 24/7 “virtual offering” always available here and that our 2020 Pledge Drive will continue to May 1.
